I bought a few siberians this year, needed a change in my garden I guess.
When I planted it there were nice green leaves on it from it being indoors
in the warmth I guess and within a week it completely died back. Now 2 weeks
later as the weather keeps threatenin to warm up i see new leaves coming up.
Although after the spring I had with my gardens I'd check and make sure its
still there. I had a whole bed dutch iris with a few other things mixed in
and this spring as I waited for them to come up I saw one lonely iris leaf. I
thougth this was really odd that there were growing before the crocus so I
started digging. No bulbs. We have a mole I dont have the heart to kill and
he burrowed under the beds last fall. His little friends the vole and some
mice decided my plants looked like good winter snacks. <sob> oh well such is
life
