HI Kathy!
I have been using the delete key negularly so I have missed the original
message, but if you are looking for 5 favorite irises, here are mine. (Of
course, generally, my favorites change as they open!) The first 3 are
considered because of the reblooming factor, which is +++++ important to me.
CHATTER (Ghio 93): burgundy/mulberry plicata on creamy apricot ground,
bloomed in the fall, in April and now (middle of May) I have two stalks with
big seed pods and 3 stalks in bloom in the same plant.
AARON'S DREAM (Sutton 94): icy blue/white. I have two plants, which
alternatively have been in bloom in November, February, March, April and May.
GENE MACHINE (Burseen 92): Purple self with light beards, very ruffled, big
flower, 14 buds on a stalk, bloomed December and May.
CLOUD BALLET (Fort 90): The most delicate flower in the garden. White,
darkening to light sky blue edges. Big flower, ruffled, elegant.
JAZZED UP (Scheiner 94): Rose lavander amoena. Very delicate looking,
beautiful big flowers.
It will be interesting to read your list!
Cheers,
