Thank you for those very kind words, Sharlyn -- I'm learning partly by doing
and partly by asking question after question after question. Many thanks to
all those on the iris-l who have contributed to my growing knowledge of plants.
Re native iris -- I didn't point out to you as we walked down along the
(dry) streambed that there were actually four PCNs, new this year planted up
near the gate to the back yard. That area does have a drip irrigation
system and is more shaded than other areas of the yard. (I just talked to
Davis Lennette on the phone re a possible speaker in the So.Calif. area who
could fit into our society's budget for program speakers. He referred me to
Lewis and Adele Lawyer who have contacts in the So.Calif. area.)
