I don't know if Fort Worth is in the 'spring freeze damage' zone or not, but
that can certainly prevent bloom in early bloomers (like TITAN'S GLORY) and
some of the mid-season bloomers. And probably some of the less cold tolerant
late bloomers. All it takes is a good hard freeze below about 25o once the
plants have started active growth (which can happen anytime from December
thru early April here), and even if buds aren't showing, it can kill any
potential bloom.
