Well, its finally happened. Our traditional May long weekend snow storm
has come. A few days later than usual, late enough to fool most people
into putting out their bedding plants! Arggh! I can't stand it! I woke
up this morning to 10 cm + of heavy, wet snow. I've been out 2 times
already to shake the trees. Fortunately, here in the frozen north, my
irises are only about 5 cm high so far, no buds to freeze. I give
thanks for small favours!
