I truly do understand...snow is predicted for tonight. :-(
I received my Heronswood order last week and I. albertii had a
bloom on it and a bud.:-) What a difference between Washington
state and here.....anyway, the bud opened this morning to be pelted
with hail. I was going to cover it but it will have to live or
die here with no pampering.
Great plants from Heronswood - I.delavayii was listed as being the
'garden plant' form. The remarks in the catalog mentioned it is the
one known in gardens as I. delavayii.
I assume that it is not a true species but a hybrid...it mentioned
some I. chrysographes influence.
