Rima,

You certainly seem to be having your share of garden problems.  Think
positive.  A few weeks from now when the weather settles down and your
in the 70's & 80's this will seem like a bad dream (maybe nightmare). 
I'm sure many of your iris and daylilies will recover and perform
nicely.  And who knows maybe you will even have pears.  

Hang in there.  Mark Cook had his share of disasters and he is reporting
some good bloom now.
