I live in Baytown, TX. I grow LA. & sib. without any problems. I also
live ON the bay.
I am now growing TB's & with the help of Walter Moores & George Sutton
hope to grow more TB's. Thet say to try the rebloomers or early TB's.
It's more our heat & humidy mixed that causes problems. The only real
problem I've had is root rot.
We've also had over 12 in. of rain above normal this year! With the help
& advice I've gotten on line & snail mail, I've gotten the root rot
under control at the moment. We have to have raised beds that drain very
well, but TB's can be grown in zone 9.
Please don't discourage us newbies. Where there is a will there is a way
if you put out a little effort.
