Have just rescued a couple of clumps of our native iris. The farmer is
going to dig a drainage ditch right there. I am ashamed to say that I
am not sure on the species name. Could anyone enlighten me? (We are on
the VT-QC border near Lake Champlain).
My second question is what would be the best treatment for the I
douglassiana seedlings that made it through our winter in a flat, under
a pile of leaves? I have put three of them in a south facing, well
drained bed near the house. I have another 5 or 6 and need some ideas.
(also have another full package of seed)
