Barney, I use a hot pepper concoction! I combine hot pepper flakes, Mexican
seasoning and anything else I can find that is spicy and sprinkle it on the
ground around the area I want the cat to stay out of. I also mix some of the
spices in a spray bottle of water and keep handy. So far the cat stays out.
I have not had to use the spray bottle as of yet.
