Spoon.  Here's their reply:

<Yes,  it is a tetraploid.  It is a continuous rebloomer here so we 
think it 
is worth the price.  We are not making any money on this iris, we 
split the 
money with Charlie's daughter and the C&P Iris Society for the 
National 
Convention in 2003.  It is not your everyday iris. It also won an EC 
at every 
show we took it to.  Fertile both ways.  It is truly gorgeous.>
