I made this cross too, and got several that looked similar to SILVERADO,
unfortunately this was in a bed that I lost to heavy grass while in school,
but I believe in the cross.
Just getting bloom on 9526 (JESSIE'S SONG X E OF E.). Beautiful clean fresh
purple plicata, but short in every other way (this year). I have soaker
hoses in the seedling bed and I will shamelessly fertilize and water this
summer. <sigh>
Crossed 9524 (E of E X Hotstreak) onto REBOUND (Wilkerson 96) this morning
and just found the ENTIRE top of REBOUND on the ground about an hour ago.
Had to grit my teeth as I walked past the little white crested bloom slasher.
(I inspected the stalk for other possible culperts--nada.) I am proud of
myself. I didn't cry or whail, "Why me! Why me!"
