Around here, I would say that was cold weather damage, but in your neck
of the woods, I don't know if that could be it. If it dips below
freezing after the stalks start forming, cold sensitive buds stop
developing and sort of go into suspended animation, then slowly shrivel
and turn brown. You folks had such wierd winter weather this spring,
could that be it?
