OT:dieing buds

Hello Michael, here is something for thought:roses can get a borer type
insect that makes a hole near top of bud stem, the hole is the size of a
fly speck (sorry) do you think it could be something like that? It
causes the bud to just lay down and look like it is suffering from lack
of water. We notice this on new roses that we have brought in.  Another
possibility is your spray.  Are you spraying directly on buds? and are
you spraying when it is hot? We have had some crooked flower stems, but
none that have died. Hope the rest of your bloom is wonderful.  Lorraine
