CULT: 1st year seedling size?

I've been doing my usual spring shuffling of plants and have noticed some striking differences in the amount of increase in some of the seedlings.
I'd like to be able to get a feel for what's considered average increase for 1 year old seedlings and what might be considered real losers as well as "above average"....... TBs, setosa, Sibs, JIs, etc.
I appreciate any info.
