We are at peak bloom here in Union, MO. Those opening for the first time
today this spring include the historics Cloth of Gold, Blue Shimmer, Beotie
(from France), Mme. Chereau and the great Stepping Out. Siberians include
Shaker's Prayer (plenty of shaking going on in our furious winds!) and
Steve. Other TBs include Ruffled Ballet, Billionaire, Best Bet, Coral
Chalice (beautiful white rebloomer with a gorgeous full pink blush on the
upper part of the falls), Blue Staccato (this may be old enough to go with
the historics by now, but we love it; great fragrance), Fanfaron, Belvi
Cloud, Fall Fiesta, Feeling Blue, Silk Silhouette, In Person, Stop The
Music, Scarlet Embers, a plicata masquerading as Pandora's Purple and two
space agers; Sky Hooks and Stars and Stripes. More tomorrow...
