Sorry for the delay in responding to your email. Generally mutations result
in undesirable changes, but not always. The rate of mutation varies
between cultivars and expression may be affected by altitude and latitude.
Some characteristics may be more likely candidates for mutation than
others as well. Yes, the "less visible" or quantitative traits can also be
affected in similar proportions as the gualitative traits.
