DenDen, one way to nearly completely avoid that is to make sure you use the
rounded-end tweezers, and to make sure that you buy heavy duty... they are a
bit more expensive but well worth it in the long run.  I have tried both
kinds, the squeeze and hold and the ones with finger loops.  I prefer the
ones that you squeeze and hold...more control for me...and I am a control
freak!
