Well, auction-wise, I do hope some thought will be given to what you might
call the potential problems of quality control in the context of a dignified
international organization.
Once you get past the books and botanical illustrations and some high end
items, there is also some pretty awful stuff out there with irises on it. I
have visions of all sorts of ghastly knicknacks and cheesy crafts being
flogged under the AIS aegis. And you can't really have "taste-police" telling
people what to like.
