From Cornell 112:
White Knight (Saunders, 1916). Color effect a clear white self. S. clear
white, reticulated brownish purple on lower claw only. F. white, waxy along
beard, and inconspicuously veined deep hellebore red, tho these marks do
not show in fresh blooms.
The beard is fine, very dense, projecting, white, and yellow tipped. The
growth is moderately vigorous and the plant has stiff, medium foliage. The
flowering stalks are erect, short and well branched. The blooms are freely
produced and have long, broadly waved standards and falls which flare to
the end of the beard and then droop. The odor is very strongly scented
iris. This makes a good cut flower. Rating 83
