OT: music to make irises grow?

I seem to remember discussing this with someone privately recently. Like
Perry, I am a pianist who can't sing, although, much to the amusement of my
students, I often try!
I have had much success with sprouting PCN seedlings on my music studio
window sill, and someone suggested it might be the music. Perhaps the dear
little seedlings worked out that if they grew quickly, they wouldn't have to
put up with all that clumsy student playing for so long!
The real reason they thrive there is that my music room is a 'cat free'
zone, out of respect for allergy prone students. Thus the seedlings don't
constantly get tipped on the floor!
Cheers, Jan
