Satie? How about that. As a matter of fact, I played a little bit of Satie
at the opening banquet...

Still don't have all my wrist functions back, after splattering it all over
the driveway last November. Still can't do the big bombastic stuff -- but
we wouldn't want bombastic while we're eating, anyhow, would we <G>.

Oh yea, my favorite gardener. He also has a big beautiful baby grand piano.
Don't think he can play a lick, but it sure is impressive. I'd love to have
it, should he croak before I and decide to leave it to me in his will.
However, if he ever reads *these* posts, I suspect the odds of that
happening are slim to none!

BTW, saw a neat thing yesterday at the local Wal-Mart on my way home from
work (no, not "Thornbird in a box"!). Literally a whole *busload* of young
guys, late-teens to early-twenties, all dressed in navy blue with ALERT on
the back of their shirts. They were here from *Michigan* working on tornado
cleanup over at Bridge Creek (the hamlet so wiped out from the tornado, with
11 deaths, about 5 miles northwest of me). Don't know who or what ALERT is.
Didn't look like a church group, and they looked too cleancut to be juvenile
delinquents in a boot camp assignment. I stopped one of them long enough to
find out where they were from (and to thank them), but was too chicken to
ask *who* they were....
