Well, our Washington Iris Club had our first show in our new facility
yesterday. We moved from the old City Auditorium to the new Presbyterian
Church and we loved it. Space Age iris were the big winners yesterday. Bob
Koch won Best Seedling with a beautiful space ager and beat out the
Schreiner seedling you all have been cooing about lately...Stephie brought
the Schreiner seedling and it did get a blue ribbon and a lot of attention.
Queen of the Youth Section went to Passion Flower by Monty Byers and it also
went Queen of the Show overall. The flowers were almost as big as Dusky
Challenger (which finally bloomed in our garden after three years...you all
were right, its good we didn't toss it!) and I wish Monty could have seen
it.
