The members of our local Region 18 club, The Washington Iris Club are having
an iris quilt fundraiser. The quilt is to be queen size, completely hand
made and features some top 20 iris hybridized by Region 18 hybridizers. The
iris cover all classes and each is to be fully satin stitched...this will be
a beautiful quilt! All Region 18 clubs will automatically be sent a couple
of sheets of tickets to sell if they wish; anyone else is welcome to contact
me for tickets. We think this project will be completed in 1 -1/2 years, at
which time we will sell tickets. To complete this project we need color
pictures or slides (which will be copied and promptly returned) of the
following three iris varieties:
MDB: Little Rascal, J&L Fry; AM 1996.
Arilbred: Pogo Doll, L. Christlies 1967, won the Mohr Award in 1979.
Arilbred, One-Half Plus (this is how it was written): Wee Scott, S. Street
1960; won the CG White Award in 1968.
Anyone that can help with these photos, we would sure appreciate it! We
will copy these photos and return them promptly with some free tickets for
the quilt drawing.
