OT-BIO: Kitty Loberg

Hello everyone.    I signed up several weeks ago, before convention, but have just been observing the iris-talk email.    I live in Redwood Valley, Calif. with my husband and two children, ages 13 and 20.  Both of my kids have grown their own iris and entered shows, my daughter winning Best of Show with Smoke Rings several years before I ever won a best of show.   I grow all types of bearded iris, a few Siberians and PCNs.   Redwood Valley experiences summers with days frequently reaching 106 - 108 degrees, so the heat can be a problem (probably more for me than the iris because I find it difficult to work in the heat).   I live about 15 miles from where Monty Byers used to have his gardens, so all of his Iris grow wonderfully at my place.    His pink, Pagan Pink, is absolutely the best growing TB pink for me.   I look forward to talking with some on you on iris-talk....    Kitty Loberg, Region 14.
