Good Question Jim,
Perhaps it is because it takes a lot of time for an iris to get exposure. I
saw many great looking ones in OKC on the tours. Some of them are on my buy
list.
A new introduction can cost many dollars. So often a person will wait several
years until the price is affordable.
I  think that some of those who show like proven winners. I also think
recognition can play a part, no worries about a mislabled iris.
