Me again. Getting caught up on my robin bizness....
I'm growing Zebra Nights in two locations also, one in the "zoo" bed (all
Kasperek) as a private guest, the other in the official convention guest
bed. Both sites bloomed. Both are variegated, and fairly consistently.
The private clump has grown very well and produced a magnificent stalk which
just finished blooming a couple of days ago. The convention guest clump,
average. I agree that the variegated-foliage things tend to be rather weak
in the growth department -- another trait Mr. K is working to improve upon,
I know.
Speaking of variegated: It didn't bloom, but the foliage on Chuck Chapman's
Canadian Streaker (TB, '97) is out of this world. *Purple-based* foliage,
about 5 or 6 inches up the fan, mixed in with full creamy variegation. It
really is a beautiful sight.
