Here's a nice, long, boring email for most of you, but maybe some of my
fellow SIGNA-philes will appreciate an update on my seed germination
results.
I received numerous seeds from you folks, and even more from SIGNA. Here's
what's germinated so far:
FROM FRIENDS:
- Iris setosa "Wal-Mart!!!" (planted March, 1998)
- 2 of approx. 20 are growing - 10%
- Pacific Coast Iris bee pods (planted on 16 August, 1998)
- 5 of 29 are growing - 17%
- tetraploid oncogelias (planted on 16 August, 1998)
- 0 of 33 are growing - 0%
- tetraploid OGB (planted on 16 August, 1998)
- 0 of 52 are growing - 0%
- Iris lactea "Illini Fountain" (planted on 15 November, 1998)
- 0 of 5 are growing - 0%
- Iris carthaliniae "Georgian Delicacy" (planted on 15 November, 1998)
- 0 of 6 are growing - 0%
- Iris foetidissima "blue flowers" (planted on 22 November, 1998)

- 88 of approx. 150 are growing - 59%

- Louisiana Iris mixed bee pods (planted on 1 February, 1999)
