Region 3 TB Show!

Went u[p to York yesterday (Sat) to judge their show - with Eleanore
Kegerise. It was fun judging with her - so often we turned to each other and
said the same "decision" == and their show was beautifully staged -- I had
never seen black "skirts" and every so often a lace tablecloth was put over
it in a triangle fashion. It was very effectiove. The flowers were
beautiful - well groomed for the most part - this is the year for huge
blossoms! It seems the pendulum has swung again -- when I first started out
there was a Youth group --- then the idea was that the youth should learn to
compete with regular competitors -- that that was life --- now they have a
Youth group --- reminds me of how our grandmother's fed babies on the babies
demands --- then with my first it had to be every 4 hours, no matter the size
of the baby's tummy and feeling (and I did the lst according to "Hoyle"
--i.e., rules - Spock was not in evidence then -- but the 2nd one was fed
according to her tummmy which was about every 3 hours --- well the Youth
division was a healthy one and had a spectacular CONJURATION which left you
feeling good about it being a Dykes.. AND it madethe Queen's Table and was
in sttrong competition for the Queen -- but another Dyke DUSKY CHALLENGER won
out. But for an 11 year old to make the Queen's Table is quite an
achievement, so others had better watch to their laurels if Ashley enters!
HONKYTONK BLUES and FALLEN ANGEL were two of the others to make the Table
Sterling (Innerst) had the ]Best Seedling{ that was REALLY different - sort
of greenish and if he doesn't introduce it, I'm going to haunt him! And its
parents are unbelievable - just goes to show you, you can't determine how
your children will turn out!
I'll further embarrass Sterling byh saying he gave an outstanding talk at our
Regional - his "philosophy" (for want of a better name) may explain his
success. He said it had been determined it takes 17 generations to breed in
or out something - and therefore he never used a beepod --Since my husband
was a scientist -had a mouse coloney that was carefully sibling-mated for
hundred or more generations to help control the results in cancer research,
I can understand the idea - Must get ready for a family reunion - so enough
from this greatgrandmother! Rosalie nr Baltimore zone 7 where it is HOT=HOT
- not my weather --- ryfigge@aol.com

Dear Clarence, Please send me a message (just a yes or no will do)
about whether you received a short e-mail from me yesterday PLUS an attached
file message. I want to know if I attached the message correctly. I am
still a novice at some of this. Hope it came through all right. Claire.
