                 cover some call Remay.  Here it's known just as row
cover. >

Oops, clipped this & forgot who posted...anyway, Reemay is a synthetic
material that is non-woven, but porous, unlike plastic sheeting.  Not
sure if your 'plastic' row cover is the same or not.  Reemay is like
that fibrous stuff used as backing in sewing collars etc.  Looks
identical.
