Hi Mark,
Yes Lady Emma is an MTB I believe, on the dainty side.
I have two small clumps and have had a bloom stalk
or two most every month except February this year. It
tends to bloom even if you cut it when it is just showing
a bit of color. It certainly isn't a show stopper but will
always be welcome in my garden. It's a soft yellow.
Rosalie Figge is a good bloomer for the Jacksonville
area. Joyce Thrift said they had a bouquet of several
blooms of Queen Dorothy Saturday. There are several
gardens there that have had very good luck with rebloomers. Some do grow
them in pots though. Joyce's
sister's are all planted and I've seen her beautiful garden.
Joyce mentioned a garden in the 0rlando area but none
of us have seen it. We're checking on the varieties grown
there.
I would imagine those you are now growing in pots would
be acclimated now, and if your soil is amended would
grow in the ground as mine do. Winesap, Feedback,
I Do, Violet Music, Corn Harvest, Belvi Queen are others
that would do well for you.
Joyce's email is JThrift@planttel.net. She's really
excited about the rebloom they are having this year.
I'm sure she would share her sources with you so
you might get rhizomes already acclimated.
Claire Honkanen, still waiting on the shower just offshore.
We are so desperate for one of the clouds to empty here!
