RE:HYB- Purple Based Foloage

My appologies for using a non standard form . I should have use PBF as a standard reference.

What John is saying makes sense to me. I have noted PBF on a couple of SDB when neither parent seems to have PBF. The two examples that I have noted are Candy Queen and Limesicle. Neither of these are heavily marked. It very well could be that two PBF genes are needed to show expression of this factor. I havn't keep records on this but will be doing so. I certainly have seen variation in degree of PBF on different cultivars and any explination we have needs to account for this and a dosage effect could do so.
I does seem that the plants with PBF have a slightly darker green in the foliage. Has anyone else noted this?

John, could you post some of your data? That is parents (with notes re PBF) and the results?
