Dear David:
The long URL I included in my message was distributed correctly (at
least in the digest version of Iris-Talk, where I was able to click on
it successfully when my copy of the digest arrived). HOWEVER, each
subscriber's email software treats incoming mail differently and if the
line is wrapped when it appears on your screen as an incoming message,
it is likely that only the first part of the URL will be highlighted.
You must then cut and past the two parts of the URL together in a single
line in the location bar of your Internet screen in order to be able to
click on it successfully.

Actually, the URL I sent out contained (as one of the four messages) a
duplicate message. If I had realized that, I would have confined the
citation to the single message (by Hubert Agback) that actually gave a
critique of the Complete Botanica software, to wit:
http://nic.surfnet.nl/scripts/wa.exe?A2=ind0111&L=alpine-l&P=R4414

With best wishes,

Harry
