Martin I had picked up a tip from golf course managers in
recommending 5 oz. of Dawn Ultra in a 3 gallon sprayer. I tried it
and it didn't, just set it back. . Bill Shear recommended extra doses
of lime. I'm trying that approach. Regular liming in spring and fall
and an additional 2 in between... There is a product called Limestone
F made by Cleary Chemical.(www.clearychemical.com). You can email
them for a local source. I have not tried it, but a friend pointed
it out as he had purchased 2 gallons for greenhouse use. Other
products like Physan 20 can be used and I have purchased it for the
next try. Definitely they are all temporary fixes. Vince is right in
raising PH, drainage etc.
Next year I have to redo and raise bed levels in 4 beds.
