Re: Historical irises


Hi i live in westford 20 miles otta boston. lots of pahkin hea. Anyway the 
iris probably di so wl as thewere already aclimated to this area and its 
cliamate.  I have seen your first, and it is really hard to identify iris as 
the differences are so slight.  But i believe it is a median and it is 
typical around here. so it is a survivor. keep it.
there were three breeders in mass in the 40s hughes, brown and buttrick.??? 
so may it is one of theirs.
come and se me in th spring and bring a sample at least we can match to what 
i know is a positive identification.  Free pahkin.
