AIS: Memberhship Roster

I remember someone mentioned 2 days ago how they wished there were an
electronic membership roster for the Iris Society. I also remember reading in
the Iris Bulletin under the minutes of a Board Meeting that it was approved
that a free electronic membership roster would be provided to any RVP or
Director that requested it.  I did not see where this same file would be
available to the general membership, even if it had a fee.  I have also never
seen in the Bulletin where a member may purchase a printed membership roster.
AIS is the only Society I have joined that to my knowledge does not make a
roster available to the membership (my apologies if such a list is available,
but I have not seen it advertised).  There are probably some other societies
out there but I am  not aware of them.   Yesterday the new Hosta Journal
arrived in the mail, and along with it was the printed membership roster of
all American Hosta Society members as of September 1, 2003.  What a great
treat to have this provided to the membership as part of their regular member
benefits.  It contains names, addresses, phone numbers, and email.  It is
arranged alphabetically, but also has state index of member's names in the
back. Every 2 to 3 years the American Hemerocallis Society also sells a
printed membership roster to those that request it, and businesses may
purchase this in electronic format to help with their mailings.
