Your excellent post confirms that I am at least
started out on the right path.
I think everybody would be interested in what
Keith Keppel, Barry Blyth or someone at
Schreiners would have to say. (I'm not sure
that Keith isn't still at Barry's, they may be
too busy making crosses to be lurking... I for
one, wouldn't want to take them away from
that. : ) Gotta keep them out working hard on
hybridizing more terrific parents for me to
work with!!! But maybe in January...)
Mike Sutton, you too. You grow as many
seedlings as anyone...
One other trait that I was a little concerned
about is open standards. I probably wouldn't
throw out an otherwise exceptional seedling for
having open standards, but I have the suspicion
that this might be a persistent trait.
