Linda I was talking about full sized iris and not using nitrogen when they
are not growing. To me seedlings are like any kids. The more you feed them
the faster they grow. I push them from the time I pot till I line them out.
They seem to handel more water and fertilizer than big iris.They don't seem
to slow down untill winter. We have 90 degree weather here to plus humidity.
This year was cooler than normal. In the past the heat has not bothered the
seedlings.
They send out increases in August where the big ones send them up in late
fall.
