I was unaffected (except for smoky skies and windblown ash); I'm sure Randy

  here - I confess to being geographically challenged & thought the fires
  were only in one small area.  Most of us complain ad nauseum when we are
  affected by natural disasters, but maybe these folks were (hopefully!)
  run out of their homes and couldn't complain?

  The photos on tv were horrific - now I'm trying to remember who I know
  or know of who lives in California - Suttons, Maryotts, John Jones,
  Roger Duncan and Rick Tasco, Lauer, John Reeds, Randy Squires - I have
  no idea where these folks are in relation to where the fires were - I do
  hope they are all ok.  Are you in an area that was affected?
