RE: HYB: 101 colored hafts

Adding colored hafts--yellow or pink--to dark tops sounds rather fun, Robin.
There's a top-notch parent, fertile both ways, from which to work--FOGBOUND.
The "dark top" is subtle--not as strongly expressed as in Fogbound's pod
parent Wishful Thinking, but there. The shoulder "thumbprint" is far enough
dowfn into the hafts not to be obvious, but is present.

It would be fun to cross Fogbound and its descendants with some of Ernst's
dark tops, especially those that show some yellow or pink in the fall. I'm
not sure how good DANDY CANDY would be for this, but it looks like it leans in
the direction we're talking about, and certainly is a pronounced dark-top
type.

Several of Keppel's recent introductions would be potentially useful--CRYSTAL
GAZER, TRADE SECRET and RIPPLE EFFECT are just a few of the Fogbound or
Suspicion progeny that might work rather well in such a project.
