For all the times this has been discussed in this forum, I have never been
clear on what those differences were. I'm not a member of TBIS for the
record.

Couldn't that be resolved by a formal invitation to TBIS to present an event
that included AIS members? I know in our workplace that if we invite
someone, say our actuaries for the retirement plan, to come present a
program for the benefit of the employees, they would be covered under our
insurance for the duration of the visit should anything happen. I guess it
might be how the insurance policy is written, but surely AIS is able to
invite someone or some group outside the membership and still maintain the
coverage.
Totally ignorant of the reasons for the situation - and remote too :).
