RE: Rebloom in Texas

Congratualtions Barbara!! I have never had a reblooming LA. Maybe I ought
to look for some!
We had a new stalk of the AB Walker Ross open this morning and I suspect it
will be the last of the season due to that massive cold front heading our
way. Just out of curiosity, when do you fertilize the rebloomers and do
you give them extra water in June? For us, heavy June rains seem to vastly
increase our chances of rebloom.

Subject: [iris] Rebloom in Texas

Good morning iris buddies - Rebloom, for me, is seldom. I have a segregated
area for reblooming iris which I try to fertilize and water as fall
approaches
but not much happens. I was away for several weeks and when I came home in
November and was looking over my garden I noticed a spot of bright color in
my
LA iris bed. Hmm, I thought, that must be a sweet gum seedling I hadn't
noticed before. Closer inspection revealed a reblooming stalk of Red Echo.
What a
lovely surprise. I have grown LA for years and never experienced rebloom
