I haven't used the polyethylene thermal blanket, but use spun polyester
nonwoven floating row covers every year, similar to thoseadvertised on
the same page. Unlike polyethylene, these are ultraviolet resistant and
last several years of being left out in the weather for several months,
unless the furkids are determined to destroy them.
Although they only advertise one weight, this type of material is
available in several different versions that offer different degrees of
protection. The lightweight stuff is pretty inexpensive and available
at the local Farmer's Co-Op, so that's what I use.
<Have any of you used a 'thermal blanket' for you Iris over winter.
DeWitt make the thermal blanket and it sure would help in clean up in
the spring. Char, New Berlin, WI>
