Crepe Myrtle roots
Hello robins - My crepe myrtles are spaced about 12 feet apart and are
at least 16 years old. They were not problematic the first 10 years but are
now about 30+' tall and the branches overlap so of course the roots do too.
Generally speaking, the root zone of a tree is at least equal to the spread of
the branches above.
