In this area, firewood is sold by the "rick", which is a face-cord or
pickup truck load, which are about the same volume.  A face cord is a 4
ft x 8 ft stack of wood one stove length deep, usually about 2 ft.

I haven't bought any firewood since I got the heatpump a few years ago,
just burn what I cut out of the way.  Which has been a <lot> since the
big downburst knocked down trees all over my roads thru the woods year
before last.

Used to cost anywhere from $25 US to get it yourself, $35 to $50
delivered.  I've seen signs this year at about the same prices.
Firewood is plentiful and cheap, so nearly everyone burns it for
supplemental heat.  Probably costs a good bit more in urban areas - gas
and time for delivery.
