I'm curious why you bring them inside? Does this effect the time they  hatch?
 
I remember watching for the hatchlings, and taking my children out to  see 
the chain the mantis form to reach the ground.  I've not caught  them hatching 
in years, but I'm glad they do!  For their sake I'm glad to  see the aphids in 
the spring!  
 
Thanks for posting about the wooly worms.  I wasn't aware of this type  of 
activity.  Very interesting.
