You might want to check out the Timber Press webpage for more  details. Or 
see what Amazon may have in the way of preview pages, etc. 
 
I have not seen the book yet, but, unless it has some glaring  flaws, I'd 
expect it to be hot for a while since most folks  gravitate toward colorful 
pictures. That said, it is not cheap,  Timber does not hit the bullseye every time, 
and I think it is  always advisable to examine this sort of thing  before 
ordering.   
 
The author is daughter of the prominent British rosarian and has run a  
nursery for some time. As I recall, she holds the UK National Collection of  
bearded irises. 
 
Although I am interested in historic irises, and have a collection of  
literature on the subject, I passed on her earlier  book, "Classic Irises."
