This plant has turned out to be a good learning example for me! I hope
it's been helpful to others too.
I'm not sure you can tell from the photo, but the white spot around the
beard is definitely a different shape for the anthocyanin vs yellow
pigments. In some places around the edges of the white spot, the
anthocyanin is the only pigment present, in other parts, the yellow
pigment is the only one.
The veins are all brown, i.e., they have both pigments.
I can't remember for sure, but I <think> parent PINAFORE PINK has a
white fall spot also.
