I do think it's the ASCII file. Tried to find a way to convert it back, but no luck. Am very doubtful that I will get another file e-mailed to me, and not sure it would work this time either. Am afraid that I will be stuck with the third option- accept that I am never going to get to see the photo. The reason it mattered so much to me was that it is a shot of Rosalie Figge that we were hoping to have for the Recorder.

Certain folks using certain systems sometimes have difficulty receiving and viewing pics I send them. I get around that problem by uploading the pic to my free Photobucket online album and sending the URL to the intended recipient of the photo.
You might suggest that strategy to the sender of the Rosalie photo. Then you can just grab the photo off the Photobucket page.
