You might try to find a UUDECODE program and see if that could help.
The best way to ship files around if you are having problems is to have them "Zipped" first.

I do think it's the ASCII file. Tried to find a way to convert it back, but no luck. Am very doubtful that I will get another file e-mailed to me, and not sure it would work this time either. Am afraid that I will be stuck with the third option- accept that I am never going to get to see the photo. The reason it mattered so much to me was that it is a shot of Rosalie Figge that we were hoping to have for the Recorder.
